Happy Birthday,
REUNION Christian Church
Boston, Massachusetts

Hank & Julie Wilson

On February 18, REUNION Christian Church (Boston, MA) will celebrate its third birthday. When asked to reflect on the past three years, Hank Wilson, REUNION's lead planter, commented on how REUNION has evolved from a new church plant into the church it is today.

"I really don't think we are all that different. From the beginning, we have tried to keep that same start-up church feel. The obvious difference is that we have grown quite a bit from just a handful of people to hundreds of people. Last weekend we had 435 people attend our Sunday gatherings. As we grow, the temptation is to become more complex than what is needed. In our full-service culture, it is hard to say "no"; but when things are simple and relational, it becomes easier to reproduce. Most of our effort goes into our large gatherings, community groups, and preparing people to serve and lead. All the hard work and discipline is worth it when we see people connecting with God's story of grace."
