Dear Friends,
In just a few short days, close to 500,000 people will line up along the Charles River in Boston to experience Beantown's 4th of July celebration. Those of us who went last year remember experiencing wall to wall people, Steven Tyler wailing along with the Boston Pops, fireworks... and did we mention wall to wall people?
What we found interesting was hearing our families tell us they saw clips from the celebration in Boston on national T.V. It's humbling to consider the history of the city in light of the holiday; Boston is the place to be to celebrate the 4th.
However, there's more to celebrate than just this holiday. God continues to bless the REUNION community in many ways. To be specific, here are a few ways we would like to mention:
- Our average attendance for the month of June was 150.
- We have been holding dinners at a sober house in the Boston area to connect with the residents. Some residents have attended on a Sunday morning and are getting involved at REUNION.
- We have started a Summer Softball League with another church. The games have been a great place to connect with people who are still getting to know us.
- We are preparing to double the number of our Community Groups by September/October. Multiplying our groups will help us with momentum as we charge into the fall. This would bring our Community Group number to 14.
- Our team created a resource for helping people get the most out of the Bible, called the Think Journal. The journal is being used by our community as well as 5 other churches.
- We have an intern with us this summer, Chris Kopp (Mike Brown's cousin). We are excited to have him on the REUNION team.</ li>
The summer is definitely a busy time for us, but we are thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you so much for helping us get here. We could not do it without your prayers and financial support.
Happy 4th of July and God Bless,
The REUNION Team
Celebrating Our First Baptism
Blaire is an undergraduate student at Suffolk University. She started attending REUNION at the invite of a friend from Suffolk. After being involved with REUNION for a few months, she began to think about baptism. Late last month we baptized Blaire, with her father and many of her friends watching in the front row.
Here are some quotes from Blaire's testimony:
A few months ago Caroline told me I was coming to REUNION, and I didn't have a choice about it. After knowing Caroline this long, I know if she loves this church I would love it too.
I choose to be baptized as a step of obedience and so the world can know I am not ashamed of Jesus, and I want to live a life focused on him.
After really doing some spiritual growing here in Boston I just couldn't let the excuses stop me anymore. I wanted to truly be a Christ follower, how could I not do this act of obedience. I couldn't let my excuses stop me anymore.
It was a beautiful moment to see Blaire take this next step in following Jesus. It is our prayer that there will be many more "next steps" like this in the near future.
Three of REUNION's artists are playing in an international battle of the bands called Emergenza. They have already made it through 3 rounds of the competition. If they make it through the next round, they will travel to New York City for the national finals.
Our community continues to cheer them on. God has blessed us with some talented musicians and we're proud of their lives, their art and how they are bringing glory to God.

Here are some current REUNION prayer requests:
- Pray for the development of new leaders as we prepare for the fall and for the return of college students.
- Pray for the Wilson's safety and sanity as they are going through major renovations on their house while continuing to lead the church plant.
- Many of the staff will be on vacation throughout the month of July. Please pray for safe travels and for rest and refreshment.
